Opti Development Program: Summer II 2022

Practice Schedule: M, W, F 12-6pm till school starts
Opti development program is for intermediate to advanced Opti Sailors who have mastered basic boat handling skills. The Regatta Travel Schedule includes 3 regattas in this session and 108 hours of coaching time focused in building confidence on the water and leveling up skills and tactics
Details can be found on the events page. We will practice 3 days per week for 6 hrs each practice throughout the late summer season until school starts. The development program is designed for more time on the water with a group of sailors who can be rigged and ready and work on specific sailing skills and tactics each week as they grow into developed Opti sailors.

Registration Form
Registration does not include regatta registration as those fees go to the hosting club. Sponsorships are available for sailors who exhibit a strong commitment, desire to improve, and talent for the sport. If you are interested in travel sailing and need sponsorship, please reach out to your head coach to learn how to prepare to gain sponsorships.
NOTE: Your child will not need any special gear other than a pair of water shoes or boots to protect feet from oyster shell cuts. The club supplies boats, lifejackets, etc. If your child chooses to sail in the Fall Regatta, that registration fee is separate to the regular sailing registration
