Our 5 to 7 year old Introductory Sailing Camps went so well last year that we are increasing the availability to one camp per month for June, July and August.
- June 2025 Sailing Littles Camp (June 17-19)
- July 2025 Sailing Littles Camp (July 8 – 10)
- August 2025 Sailing Littles Camp (Aug 19 – 21)
Our Sailing Littles Camp is strategically designed to show the youngest possible sailors various shapes and forms of sailing. Since Hatteras Sailing has a such a diverse portfolio of vessels, we can adjust on the fly to accomodate our wonderful crazy cape weather patterns. Some boats are great in light wind and some boat are great in heavier wind. The cool thing is that we have something for almost every condition….. and if not we will have fun in the shallow water spots or on dry land/inside if it happens to rain.
This is great introduction. It gives the kids a chance to sail together in big group, then in smaller boat groups, and possibly to try and sail their own boat all by themselves, weather and conditions permitting ! Don’t miss the chance to introduce your child to the most fun and adventure filled boating and sailing experience of their lives! It will be something they will never forget, and it may be something you can never live down again!
We always recommend that local families take advantage of our huge discount just for, and only for year round locals…. Membership gets you very big discounts on all of our programs, merchandise, gear, plus access to the fun events we plan to have on site this year in the back yard, and our cruising events and charter events for adults. Its $100 per family per year and is a great deal for you and it also help insure that Junior Sailing stays sustainable on Hatteras Island for a long time!
