Friday Pamlico Deli BBQ and Bonfire
The Pamlico Deli BBQ event will be moved from the beach into the Waves Banquet Room of the KOA near the Tiki Bar and Pool. Sadly, we cannot have a bonfire in the Waves Room, but we can do other fun activities and make microwave s’mores and play games. If you have a favorite rainy day game, please bring it.
Main Event Stage & Tent Set Up
Due to predicted 35+ gusts and rain predicted on Friday Evening, we will forego setting up the main event tent on Thursday afternoon. The Main Event Tent will be located near the KOA Main Stage in the main KOA facility on the oceanside of Highway 12 near the playground and jumping pad. On Thursday afternoon, Phillips will assemble the roof frame and leave it down on the ground so that it cannot be blown away.
Just after the skipper’s meeting on Saturday Morning. We ask for “all hands on deck” to raise the tent roof and set up the stage set up the stage promptly after the sailors head out for racing. We are asking for volunteers to help with this. Please contact the Event Chair, Meg Phillips, if you can help out setting up the tent Saturday Morning at 10am-ish.
Ticket & Gear Sales Volunteers
If you are volunteering to sell tickets and gear, the ticket table will be set up under the main event tent on the KOA Oceanside Facility for the duration of the event.
