How do we select recipients?
Scholarships are awarded on the recommendation of the program director and approved by the board. Program Director recommends sailors who show a commitment to the sport, talent, effort, and a pattern of respect and merit at school or within the community. We also grant scholarships to first time sailors under 18 yrs old who reside full time in dare county for certain camp activities. If you receive a scholarship, there is a scholarship commitment pledge we will send to you via email wherein you commit to 100% attendance in the activity for which you are granted a scholarship is required.
