Please complete our rental request form to reserve the date you want to go sailing. We keep our rental calendar offline because it includes any of our local events, travel sailing, coach availability, etc. These are the same boat’s that our local sailing team uses to sail for weekly practices, etc.
And the weather can change quickly here on Hatteras. So we have wind limits for each class and skill level of the skippers. It is best to call ahead or contact us through this form for a rental date…and then come back online here to pay for the rental once we have a date on the calendar booked for you. You can also just stop by and see if we have something available.
Morning Start Time: 09:00 am
Afternoon Start Time: 2:00 pm
Duration: up to 8 hours depending on the time of the year
End Time: Sunset – you cannot be out after dark.
Checkout: $50 Skills checkout is required on your first rental.
Boat Return: extra $50 charge applies if you need a tow back into the dock or leave the boat out front on mooring or the beach

How To Reserve A Date?
- You can check the calendars below to see if the boat is available. Be sure to open the event and see how long it lasts because private lessons are only two hours and rentals are normally 4hrs in morning or afternoon. So you may be able to take the Hobie even if one event shows on that date. We also have to have a staff member on site while you rent so even if the boat is available, you should Call us or email us to double check before you pay for your rental. Our global staff availability calendar is pretty complicated so it is easier to just call us.
- Pay for your rental,
- Put the date you want to sail in the “notes” on your order
- Fill Out the registration form below and indicate the date.
- Please add your order number in the order number field on the registration form.
