2024 Registration
All proceeds benefit Hatteras Island’s junior sailing program. Open to the public join the fun even if you are not sailing.
Just like shopping online for anything else, please add what you need to your cart by clicking ‘add to cart’. If you are racing, you can register for a bundle which includes meals, souvenir bottomless pint, and racing.
Sailors, Parents, and Siblings can add just what you want one item at a time. You can navigate to the cart from any page by clicking the cart icon in the red bar above the header. After you’ve completed your registration order, a secure registration form will be sent to you for each of your racing sailors. All registration proceeds benefit the Hatteras Community Sailing organization. We are focused on inspiring our local you to lifelong independence, seamanship, and respect for nature.
Register Early
All registration and regatta items are discounted by 30% for early registration. Early registration ends at midnight May 10th, 2023. Online registration will close at midnight on June 6th, 2023. There will be no on-site registration. ** Tickets and registrations are non-refundable.
Racing Bundles
For each class, we offer a racing bundle for competitors. The bundle is a savings from ordering everything separately. Bundles include one each of racing, bonfire meal, pizza lunch, seafood boil, souvenir bottomless pint. Your family members can add onto your bundle a la carte for an other meals, activities, etc. Double handed boats register separately and we will ask your partner’s name on the longform registration which comes after you purchase your tickets. Entrants are not required to buy a bundle or participate in all the extra fun.

Racing Registration
Each racing registration includes one long sleeve regatta rash guard. You can purchase additional shirts below in the with meal tickets, gear, and mugs section. Please do not forget to buy meal tickets. It’s very uncomfortable to say ‘no’ to hungry kiddos, and we do not want to run out of food. 🙂 Please check the schedule. Thank you!

Meals
Please check out the schedule to learn more about the weekend and decide which tickets and fun you plan to join. KOA Rodanthe has a restaurant on site that serves breakfast. Please arrange breakfast on Saturday and Sunday with any of the local breakfast places here on Rodanthe / Waves / Salvo. Hatteras Sailing will not be cooking breakfast like we have in year’s past.

Lodging Options
KOA: Lodging at the event grounds
KOA Cape Hatteras the official regatta lodging provider, and they have campsites, cabins, and RV sites for regatta participants and spectators. Local Hatteras Island folks, several families are staycationing at the campground. This venue has the space to park trailers and mark out competitor lanes for these bigger classes of boats with so much room for competitors, big and small. The facilities are amazing – soundstage, pools, playgrounds, jumping pad, tent camping, cabins, RV Spaces. Camp Hatteras is Glamping at its finest and stretches from the ocean all the way to the Pamlico Sound truly making this the first of our spring regatta truly worthy of her name – the Wind n’ Waves Regatta!!!!

REAL Waterman’s Retreat
Nearby the KOA Event site, the Waterman’s retreat is a very nice option at the REAL Watersports location in Waves. The reservations site at REAL offers several options that offer less than weekly rentals.
Cape Hatteras Motel
Cape Hatteras Motel is an amazing oceanfront destination located within view of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Among the nation’s “Top 10 Favorite Beaches” as well as the trip here among the “Top 10 Most Scenic Drives”.
The Atlantic Inn
Historic Hatteras Inn in Hatteras Village. Established in 1928 it was the first inn to be built on Hatteras Island. In 2006, the inn was raised and re-opened. Each room is unique and equipped with TV, Wifi, coffee maker and fridge.
