Description:
This sailing course is for sailors interested in moving up to a larger live aboard yacht and going somewhere on a sailboat. Basic keelboat is pre-requisite for this course. If you are ready to move up to a larger boat, adventure sailing, and coastal cruising, this is the perfect course for you. We learn by doing and take a 5-Day cruise from Cape Hatteras through the Pamlico Sound to Beaufort and possibly to Oriental. One of the first tasks we do as a crew is work out our float plan together based on the current conditions.
This course is designed to begin growing the confidence you need for coastal cruising independently without a captain or instructor. If you are interested in buying a liveaboard boat and sailing away, this is a great first step. Get a taste of the cruising life while you learn these key skills:
