Effective July 23rd, Coach Mak has resigned to pursue other opportunities. While we are all sad to see her go, we wish her all the best in her next endeavor. Summer and Fall sailing programs will continue as planned. There are no changes to the regatta or practice schedule at this time. Hatteras Sailing is an early stage sailing program. We can expect attrition as we try to find the right coaches for our organization. Planning for this possibility, we brought in two coaches for Summer 2022.
Coach Ian will remain until he returns to Duke where he is the president of the Sailing Team and competes there in the Collegiate 420 Class.
