NOTE: I did just speak with the regatta coordinator and he said that clinic will still begin at 9am Friday morning, and we are still welcome to practice tomorrow afternoon given favorable conditions.

Jay and I will update the sailors participating with any changes to our scheduled departure via text message after Jay and I have a chance to discuss. Subject: Hampton Yacht Club Regatta Update
Good day All,
Hampton Yacht Club is very excited to host you this upcoming weekend for the CBYRA Clinic, US Sailing Junior Olympic Sailing Festival, and the Area C Qualifier for the CHUBB Junior National Keelboat Championship.
HYC is monitoring Tropical Storm Elsa that is making it’s way up the eastern seaboard. Hampton is currently under a Tropical Storm Watch but I expect the storm to come through Hampton Roads late Thursday evening and going off the VA coast around 0200 Friday. Our teams are currently in Annapolis and planning to keep our boats tied on the trailers until Friday morning before the clinic. So the only impact we expect at this time is perhaps a bit of a later start to the clinic Friday morning.
Teams are welcome at HYC any time Thursday or Friday, we just ask that with winds Thursday evening projected to reach 40 knots to keep all boats tied down.
The Clinic Friday is open to all regatta participants. There will be an early bird check in Friday evening and Saturday morning for JOs. The Area C Qualifier will be hosted on Monday July 12th after the JOs. HYC is providing six Sonars for this event on a first come first serve basis. Any teams that wish to compete are encouraged to review the amended NOR and email (…) to reserve a boat.
Arrival, Trailers, Dinghy Park
Attached as well as in the Race Docs there is a Hospitality Guide to HYC which also includes a site layout were you can park your trailers or you can certainly ask any HYC personnel.
HYC operates a 5, 2, and 1 Ton Crane for launching powerboats. If you do not have hoist capabilities please use the Sunset Creek Boat Ramp.
All sailboats are to be placed in the Dinghy Park at the southern end of HYC near Victoria Blvd and the big cannon). We plan to have designated spots but depending on the storm we may not be able to stripe the field.

Thursday – Patio and downstairs lounge will be open for lunch and dinner, on your own.
Friday
Breakfast – we will set out apples, bananas and granola bars for competitors
Lunch – ***Competitors and coaches need to pre-order lunch in the morning between 8:30-9:00 on back patio of Main Clubhouse. *** Please be prepared to pay cash or charge to club or credit card account. Parents are welcome in the lounge or on the patio.
Dinner – on your own. HYC lounge & patio will be open Friday evening for dining, and our full menu is available to go. Our upstairs restaurant will be open; reservations strongly recommended by calling the club or going to the bar.

Setting Up a Charge Account
If you plan to charge to your visiting yacht club or to a credit card account, please come to the Main Office on Thursday or Friday to set up a charge account for the weekend. Thanks!
Showers
There are showers located in the Main Clubhouse (first floor bathrooms) and next to the Main Office (security code 5-2-4-Enter). Please be respectful of other guests, especially in the Main Clubhouse.

Parking
Parking on club premises is reserved for members only. Please deposit boats, gear, competitors and trailers in spots as requested by our parking volunteers and then park cars along Bridge Street, Victoria Boulevard and other nearby streets.
